Kyle McCreary

Head Coach

Coach McCreary is from Fayetteville, GA where he attended Starr's Mill High School and played baseball and football. After High School Coach McCreary played baseball at the University of Michigan and was part of the 2006 Big Ten Championship team. He also played baseball at Jacksonville State University where he was part of the 2007 and 2008 Ohio Valley Conference Championship teams. He was an NCAA freshman All-American and was named to the OVC all conference team in 2007. He has been coaching baseball for 14 years. He has been coaching at Ola High school for 9 years. He has been a part of 2 State Runner-Up teams; 1 at Whitewater High School and 1 at Ola High School. He received the Region Assistant Coach award 3 times; 2012, 2019, and 2021. He received Region Coach of the Year in 2022. Coach McCreary graduated from Jacksonville State University; achieved a Master's Degree from Western Governors University and is currently working on his Doctorate Degree at Piedmont University. He is married to Chelsea McCreary, Ola's Cheer and Gymnastics coach. They have 2 children, Harper and Mitzi. Coach McCreary's goal is to mentor young men and guide them toward success. The goal is to win and bring a State Championship to the Ola community.

Austin Smith

Assistant Head Coach/Pitching Coach

Coach Smith is in his 8th year of coaching; several of which have been at Ola High School. He played baseball at Georgia Gwinnett College and is originally from Mcdonough, GA. Coach Smith's goal is to help players achieve success in life on and off the field. His favorite part of coaching is building relationships that last a lifetime. Coach Smith is engaged to Graysen Stroud.

Thomas Stanley

Freshmen Head Coach

Coach Stanley has 8 years of coaching experience at various levels. He has worked with baseball players who are now playing at the college and professional levels. Helping players achieve success on and off the field is the ultimate reward to coaching. His goal for Ola baseball is to help build community and culture that extends beyond the diamond. Coach Stanley is a 3rd year teacher at Ola Middle School, teaching ELA and Social Studies. This is his first year coaching baseball at Ola High School. Previously, he served as JV baseball coach and pitching instructor at Eagles Landing Christian Academy. He is blessed with a wonderful family that includes his son Hayden and daughter-in-law Morgan who are the owners of Fire & Ice at Jackson Lake.

John Hill

Assistant Freshmen Coach

Coach Hill has over 20 years of coaching experience. He is the President of Ola Athletic Association, an all volunteer, non-profit, youth baseball league in our community. He played baseball in high school for Fitzgerald High School in Fitzgerald, GA. Coach Hill is passionate about coaching the game of baseball and the life lessons that go with it. His goal is to help new players entering the program develop so they can be successful throughout their playing career at Ola and beyond. He is married to his wife Georgia and they have 2 sons, Jake and Luke.

David Carter

JV Head Coach and Varsity Assistant Coach

Coach Carter has served as Ola's JV Baseball coach for 2 years. Last year was special for him because the team went 11-1 for the season and the players improved every game. His goal is to help build confidence within in each player and improve their IQ of the game. Coach Carter was born and raised in Mcdonough and now lives in Locust Grove. He played baseball at Ola High School and Piedmont College.

Chad Sanders

Varsity Infield Coach

Coach Sanders has 24 years of baseball coaching experience with 5 years at Ola. A highlight of his coaching career was winning the PG Nationals Championship. It is his goal to help Ola baseball play deep into the playoffs while helping the players grow their knowledge of the game and life lessons. He is married to his wife Carrie and they have 3 kids, Katelyn (married to Cory), Baylen, and Macklin; and 2 grandkids, Ace and Archie.

Jason Grammer

Assistant Varsity Coach and Catcher Coach

Coach Grammer has coached multiple high school sports, including baseball, football, basketball, and track for nearly 20 years. He has coached at Montgomery High School and Winona Christian School in Mississippi, Woodland High School also in Henry County, and joined Ola High School in 2015. Coach Grammer has been part of 3 state runner up teams in baseball: 2 at Winona Christian and 1 with Ola. He was named Region 4-5A Assistant Coach of the Year in 2019 and 2022. He is married to Randi, a Spanish teacher at Ola. They have 2 sons, Nicolas, in his 5th season with Ola Baseball, and Carson who is a member of the Ola Golf Team.
